Description:	Friends of the Birth Centre (FBC) is a vibrant volunteer organization comprised of families passionate about their birth experience at the RBWH Birth Centre. FBC was established in 1995 out of gratitude to the Birth Centre at the RBWH and to the midwives that work there. It is the position of FBC that birth is a normal, natural and safe process, and that birth with a known midwife in a comfortable setting offers the best outcomes for mother, baby and family. Further, FBC believe that this model of care is undervalued and undersupplied in Australian maternity services
