Friends of the Birth Centre (FBC) is a vibrant volunteer organization comprised of families passionate about their birth experience at the RBWH Birth Centre. FBC was established in 1995 out of gratitude to the Birth Centre at the RBWH and to the midwives that work there. It is the position of FBC that birth is a normal, natural and safe process, and that birth with a known midwife in a comfortable setting offers the best outcomes for mother, baby and family. Further, FBC believe that this model of care is undervalued and undersupplied in Australian maternity services

Birth Partner hires TENS units to women who want drug-free pain relief in labour. Research into TENS has shown that it can reduce the length of the first stage of labour. In my work as a doula I saw first-hand the benefits to women who used TENS, and would love all mothers to be able to use TENS. We include everything you need to make TENS use easy. We can send a TENS to you anywhere in Australia.
